About Us

DawaMandi, a startup promoted by Kiron Chopra, a seasoned entrepreneur from the manufacturing sector, is a cloud-based B2B platform, an asset-light TaaS model that brings together various supply chain stakeholders for drugs, healthcare, and wellness products and services, for addressing the dire needs of the ordinary citizen (you and me), who struggles to access these services at an affordable cost. The thought behind this was to democratize access to affordable healthcare and wellness products and services in an efficacious way and create valuable, intelligible, and meaningful data for anyone connected with the sector and beyond, to be put to good use to further improve the greatly underpenetrated healthcare and wellness ecosystem.

DawaMandi started post the pandemic in June 2020 by digitizing the drugs/medicines supply chain in Lucknow, the largest market in UP (Estimated to be Rs 10000 Cr) using it's cloud-based, very user-friendly, and comprehensive digital platform but struggled initially, due to the disruption in the entire supply chain and had to pivot from an asset-heavy to a more frugal and cash efficient model of doing the same job, which has since been successfully implemented and fine-tuned over several months. Current monthly sales figures exceed Rs 1.5 Cr (and growing).

They pivoted again, earlier this year to move to a completely asset-light TaaS model, so as to rapidly enhance their footprint, by multiplying their geographical presence digitally by licensing the TaaS platform and creating perpetual revenue streams over time, for all the supply chain stakeholders that they bring on board, on their platform. The addressable market size in India for this space, being upwards of $US 500Bn
